The roof of a house, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Liniers, collapsed for reasons that are the subject of investigation, at a time when its residents were not there, police sources reported. The incident occurred after 8 p.m., when neighbors heard a roar and immediately observed how the roof of the house at 5500 Ulrico Scmidl Street had almost completely collapsed. After the 911 alert, members of the City Police, along with several Firefighters, moved to the scene of the emergency, verifying the damage and that no person was inside the home at the time of the collapse. Later emergency personnel from the Government of the City of Buenos Aires worked on removing debris, at the same time that operators from the concessionaire companies interrupted the natural gas and electricity service, as a preventive measure. According to what was indicated by the neighbors, in that house that suffered considerable damage when the roof fell, a couple lives with their children, who were absent for work reasons when the collapse occurred.
