The Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team will be distinguished at the Congress

The "Deputy Juan Bautista Alberdi Honorable Mention" is the highest award of the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation. In this case, for the "invaluable contribution to international humanitarian law."

The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Cecilia Moreau, will award this Thursday the "National Deputy Dr. Juan Bautista Alberdi Honorable Mention" to the Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF), in recognition of its invaluable contribution to international humanitarian law, respect for the individual and collective right to identity, Truth and Justice. The head of the Lower House, promoter of this nomination along with other deputies from different political blocks, will present this award at 5:00 p.m. in the Hall of Lost Steps of the Legislative Palace. The EAAF is a scientific, non-governmental and non-profit institution that applies methodologies and techniques from different branches of forensic sciences for the investigation, search, identification and restitution of missing persons, both during the last civil-military dictatorship that occurred in our country (1976-1983), as in more than 50 countries in America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
