Today, cryptocurrencies have become a payment method in Argentina, as have digital wallets. There are already almost 10 million users who use cryptocurrencies. The disbelief in physical money, the insecurity that its handling entails and the existence of alternative savings and investment possibilities are some of the reasons that motivate users and development companies to choose cryptocurrencies and digital money. The post-pandemic digital world penetrates more every day and the impact of technology on digital natives is beginning to be seen, above all, who are the ones who most adopt this technology as a currency for their usual consumer transactions. We are facing a change of era and, just as we did in other times, it is time to adopt them without fear, being aware of their wide uses and possibilities. But, here I stop, because as more people incorporate them into their daily movements, more and more criminals are lurking who see this as a possibility to commit their attacks. This is due not to the lack of security they present, since cryptocurrencies have different technologies that make them highly secure, but to human error, in most cases, and the creativity put into deceiving users to that give free rein to their access. The use of easy-to-guess passwords, the old well-known phishing or some vulnerability in the cryptocurrency platform (although rare), can put our digital assets in check. Just as we learned with bank fraud, it's the same thing here. Cybercriminals will use all their cunning to execute deceptions. For this reason, once again, it is essential to insist on the education and awareness of users in everything that this technology makes possible, but also, what we are exposed to through its use.
